Paint color suggestions?

I am not “coloring inclined” and I want to paint my home. OK room 1: Bedroom: All dark brown furniture, two brand new windows, “bamboo” type shades, and on closet door. I want something happy i guess
Room 2: Kitchen; right now it has ugly blue cabients but they will be replaced with light brown, wooden ones. It contained all of the appliances:ie stove, washer, dryer
Room 3: Living room: Lots of black solid furniture (entertainment stand, bookcase) bt I am buying new couch and loveseat. Would appreciate any suggestions. right now the colors in this house are brown, light bronw, yellow, and green (yuck!)

hmm Red would look sooo good against all of the brown (nice for the bedroom ;) For your kitchen try a nice honey color bronze or even gold against your new cabinets or something in the brown family, For you living room orange yes I know ORANGE would make the black pop and your room glow you can choose different tones of Orange that suits your likings just make sure its not tooo blinding ;)
    Peace v

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the “painted” rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think something like “kilim beige” (# 6106) for the living room, “windfresh white” (# 7628) for the kitchen, and “dockside blue” (# 7601) for the bedroom. Lots of fresh, clean colors.

You can also take a photo of your room & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they’ll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

Well just some facts, if you want to make a room look bigger use lighter colors but if you want to use darker colors thats fine but it does make a room look smaller. That’s how it got started, I think, that houses typically have white walls when you move in so that the seller can make the rooms look bigger.
Well it’s all on your prefrences but normally warm colors (red, orange, yellow, gold) are good in a living room because they are welcoming. But also cool colors (blue, purple, green) are refreshing.
I think, since you have black furniture, you should go with red it’s dramatic and will make eyes happy.
