Question by TTDBTTC
need some ideas for “sun shade” in back of a truck for our son (rear facing)…?
I’ve tried the little shade things for the windows and they won’t stay on the window…we are heading about 3 states away in less than a week and b/c of everything that we have “we” have decided to take hubby’s truck instead of my car…but our son is still rear facing so looking for ideas of something to put in the back window of the truck to help block out some of the sun…
i personally like the idea of tinting the windows…but hubby won’t let me or anybody else tint the windows (especially not the back window) in his truck….

You can go to one of those auto places like Pepboys or Autozone and get some tint for the windows. I dont think it’s expensive. Hope this helps
For a more permanent solution you could always get the windows tinted dark in the back, replacing the window/s would be a little pricey but some places have those peel and stick window tints (less permanent). If your son is back there a lot then I would suggest this to keep him comfortable.
A few of these, they aren’t the ones that stick on, attach on:

And when he gets out of the car:

Hope I helped.x
I was going to say tint until I saw your additional details. Does hubby know that tint offers some impact protection? Apparently tint prevents glass “spray” during a collision. I plan to get this done this summer for this reason and because My black leather turns my car into an inferno. In the meantime I was having the same problem. Those darn suction cups never stay stuck. I found this peel and stick type tint which is basically a cheap solution. It’s kind of like thick plastic wrap that just clings to your window. It’s very cheap -like $ 3-4 at BabiesRUs and I think I’ve seen it at Target as well. Have a safe trip.
