I just moved into my first apartment and the colors are all over the place. The cabinets are a DARK brown, the counters are a light creme brown, the floors are Mahogany and the walls are white and so are the appliances. I like a formal, luxury, french country look. I was thinking of painting the cabinets white, but will that be too much white, with the appliances? Im thinking of a soft green or blue on the walls. And a cotton roman shade on the window, but the counters? Do you think it will clash? Please help!!!
should i go stainless steel with my small appliances? to counter balance the white?

I think painting the cabinets white sounds great. And no that would not be too much. A soft green would be really pretty on the walls, and the Roman shade would be a good accent. Go for it! And remember, it’s just paint so if you don’t like it it’s easily changed.
I would just find an awesome color for the walls. Something that goes with all the browns. I don’t think I would paint the cabinets..just cause you are renting and its a lot of work. Use pots and pans and dish rags that match your wall..like if you had red walls, use red items…I think that would be cool. Red place mats..red chair covers…etc..or what ever color. I love the stainless steel look, but you gotta take a pic so we can see if it will really go. Maybe if u had a steel fridge and stove it would work. Sounds like a lot to decide on, but you can get some swatches and weigh all options first.
