I am thinking of getting hunter douglas pleated shades for my bedroom window…?

in a cream shade and with a black out backing. I m concerned though, givven that the shade will be in cream, will the black out covering prevent others from seeing in with the lights on? The covering will keep a person from seeing shadows, figures?

well that is the purpose of black out curtains right

Yes, blackout fabric works both ways — it will keep all sunlight from coming in and will prevent anyone outdoors from seeing light or the shadows caused by light.

I’ve had blackout shades and have also made blackout curtains for a motor home. Both blocked any view from outside completely, no matter how bright the light was inside.
