I like the look but at night, anyone can see in. I was thinking about putting some fabric on the between the window and the shade for more privacy. any suggestions?

Matching fabric did the trick for me
Hang a beach towel on them.
Yep, I know what you mean. I used to work for a company which sells those blinds. They falsely advertise that the bamboo blinds provide privacy, as we both know is untrue. I think you’ll have to buy separate curtains to be used at night.
Just hang a curtain rod (they are cheap) behind the bamboo shades and hang a set of sheers.(inexpensive also, at OddLots, a dollar store, you’ll know a place in your area.) Or even velcro or somehow attach the sheers to the actual bamboo shades, on top.
Depending on your decor and desire for privacy, beige muslin would look fine also. You can buy it at a fabric store for not much (you won’t need more than a yard per window, I wouldn’t think).
If you don’t sew, use fabric tape to quickly bind the raw edges so they don’t fray, and to secure the fold to crease the pocket that slides through the curtain rod. It’s all fast, easy, and cheap.
Or you could even buy the plastic film that goes over windows to make them frosted now…don’t know much about the cost, but you could check Home Depot or Lowe’s if you’re interested in that look.
buy some coordinating fabric behind the bamboo, and sew the sides as “tacks”, not all the way down….so you can still use them
Are they shades or roman shades?
Remember to take the fabric to the top, probably best to staple them.
Good luck!
